Christina Santiago is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Christina earned her bachelor’s in biology from the University at Albany and an associate’s in nursing from the Samaritan School of Nursing in Troy, NY. She received her Master of Science in nursing from Russell Sage. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
With nearly 13 years of experience in nursing, Christina began her career in the intensive care unit and most recently served on the hospital’s rapid response team. These experiences have shaped her strong clinical foundation and leadership skills, particularly in acute care settings. Now transitioning into her role as an advanced practice provider, Christina remains passionate about patient-centered care and prioritizes working collaboratively with patients to achieve their health goals.
She values building strong relationships with patients through supportive, compassionate care and believes the most important part of her role is truly listening to patients and treating them as whole individuals. Christina finds professional fulfillment in seeing her patients succeed—knowing that her guidance and care can positively impact their health and quality of life.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family and staying connected to the community she calls home. Born and raised in the Capital District, her lifelong connection to the area and commitment to supporting her local community are central to her approach to care.
